Shortlist for the Sport Industry Awards 2009


The Sport Industry Group has unveiled the official shortlist for all 12 award categories of its 2009 Sport Industry Awards.
The Sport Industry Awards is Europe’s largest and most prestigious commercial sport awards. The Awards recognise and reward the best the sport business has to offer in marketing, PR, sponsorship, new media, publishing, advertising and design.
The Sport Industry Awards will take place on Thursday 30th April 2009.
Previous star-studded awards ceremonies have been attended by the likes of Sir Bobby Charlton, David Beckham, Dame Tanni Grey-Thompson, Arsene Wenger, Lord Coe, Bernie Ecclestone, Frank Lampard, Martin Johnson, Kevin Pietersen, Dame Kelly Holmes, Sven-Goran Eriksson, Flavio Briatore, Thierry Henry, James Cracknell, Amir Khan – to name but a few. To the 1,600 attendees at the sell-out event it is also the most important networking occasion in the sport business calendar.
The main judging panel is headed by chairman and BBC broadcaster John Inverdale. The results will be announced at the Awards ceremony on 30 April in front of 1,400 industry representatives. The shortlist is as follows:
